Jim and Karen Pickett

have worked in Mozambique since 1998. They  teach at the Wesleyan Bible College in XaiXai (pronounced Shy-Shy).  Jim teaches various courses in Portuguese as well as occasionally preaching in local churches, and does leadership training for two nearby Wesleyan districts.  Karen teaches English to the Bible College students.  There are now 5 established churches and 25 pioneer churches in Nampula.  They praise the Lord for Rev. Abel and his wife Laura and their leadership.  Pray for this pastor and his family and that the church would continue to grow.  The Picketts have two teens, Carissa, who attends Oklahoma Wesleyan University, and Benjamin, who does homeschool, both born in South Africa.
